Mobilan

Incorporated in 1994 (formerly FG Consulting Pty Ltd), Mobilan had its origins as a provider of IT consulting and support services to a wide range of clients, from SME's to large government organisations. 

Over the next eight years, Mobilan built a customer base stretching from Melbourne to Cairns, comprised of clients such as Australia Post, Cairns City Council, Department of Wet Tropics, and the Murray Darling Basin Commission.

In 2003, leading disaster recovery specialist CommVault Systems employed Mobilan to manage and maintain their national customer client base.  During this time Mobilan provided design, consultation, support, implementation and education services to many large government departments and private enterprises.

The first ten years of operation saw us focusing on providing professional services almost exclusively to large organisations. We recognised however, that many of the commonplace solutions and practises employed by large organisation were inadequate or in some cases, completely lacking in smaller organisations.  Important issues such as Disaster Recovery Policies and Procedures, Business Impact Analysis, Capacity Planning and Review, were considered as either too expensive or not important by smaller organisation. 

These days, a large part of our time, energy and resources goes into developing IT solutions that provide the level of reliability and performance you would come to expect from a large enterprise, but at a cost within the reach of the average SME.
